Welcome to the College of Engineering, located on one of Canada's most attractive campuses in the beautiful river city of Saskatoon! As one of the oldest and most-established Engineering schools in Canada, we are proud to offer both a quality educational experience and a first rate research environment. You will find the people on campus and in the community to be friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely welcoming. I believe that engineering in the twenty-first century is becoming chic, altruistic, interpersonal and team-oriented; driven by innovation, collaboration, diversity, and competitiveness. With this in mind, our College is designing our programs to open up an incredible number of opportunities -- in science and engineering, graduate studies, business, communication, education, finance, law and medicine. Our engineering graduates transition easily into their professions as well-rounded, people-oriented leaders within all facets of society.

Our unique curriculum and learning environment stretches students' intellectual, leadership and personal capacities, fostering a vibrant community of young people that tread new paths into multidisciplinary insights and global perspectives. We develop graduates who are articulate and confident individuals, broad thinkers, dynamic and motivated achievers who distinguish themselves by their intellectual rigor, spirit of initiative, resourcefulness and innovation, and with the commitment to make important contributions to society.  
 Our College is not only student-oriented, we are also research-intensive. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are one of the pillars of the modern research enterprise. Therefore, at the time of the College's growth, we are focusing our energy on attracting more of the very top national and international graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to our College. We are able to offer these young researchers extraordinary opportunities for multi-disciplinary interactions, as well as groundbreaking collaborative research in partnership with colleagues from all over the world. It is important to recognize that our College's quality is best evaluated through the success of its students. We are delighted by the diversity and the quality of the remarkable careers of our alumni. It is important for us to ensure that our alumni continue to feel good about their experience during their time here, and that they share in the vision we have for the future of the College of Engineering.
