NOTE: All active filter designs should be verified by means of simulation or laboratory results. One circuit simulation package is ICAP4 which can be found under Electrical on the student sign-on page. Also look for FilterPro to help calculate component values. Use standard component values. I recommend choosing the capacitor values first and then calculating the resistor values. Choose the closest 1%-value. Do the simulations based on these values, rather than tweaking the component values by including potentiometers or variable capacitors in the design.
