Biological Engineering is ...

Biological Engineering deals with patterns of relationships among organisms and their environments and engineering design to develop processes and systems that influence, control, or utilize biological materials and organisms for the benefit of society. The discipline evolved from Biological Engineering and increasingly is gaining recognition in Canada and the United States under the title of Biosystems Engineering. A recent report from the C.C.P.E. listed Biosystems Engineering as one of the fastest growing engineering disciplines in Canada.
