Mission and Objectives

Our Mission

To foster sustainable agriculture and the utilization of biological resources for the benefit of society in Saskatchewan and beyond through engineering education, research and public service.

Our Objectives

  • To administer relevant and high quality undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in Agricultural and Bioresource Engineering. These programs are designed to prepare students for careers in the bioresource industries and to encourage the habits of life-long learning, interdisciplinary problem solving, leadership, innovation, and public service.
  • To teach high quality undergraduate degree courses in general engineering and agricultural and bioresource engineering, for the BSA program in Agriculture, diploma courses related to mechanization of agriculture, and postgraduate degree courses, and to participate in the development, teaching and administration of common courses in engineering and agriculture.
  • To engage in research which supports our teaching and that continues the education of faculty.
  • To engage in research and development, technology transfer, professional practice, and public service activities in direct support of economic development and diversification of the provincial,  national and international economies.
  • To foster multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research and education through leadership and participation in divisions, virtual colleges, and other formal and informal strategic alliances.
