Research Areas
Research interests in the Department lie in the areas of instrumentation and controls, precision farming, agricultural equipment design, greenhouse and animal housing ventilation, manure handling, water quality, soil water conservation, soil hydrology, tillage mechanics, removal of antipersonnel mines, remediation of groundwater contamination, irrigation, added value processing, biomaterials, microwave processing of materials, waste management, postharvest and food engineering, and added-value processing of nutraceuticals and medicinal plants. Nearly all research is conducted in collaboration with industry or scientists in other institutions, and much of the research is interdisciplinary. |
