Current Elective Offerings

For the 2011-2012 regular session, the following technical and design electives are currently available.  Please note the following points:

  • Students must take four technical and/or design electives.  Of these four at least two must be design electives.
  • Classes other than those listed below can be used as Technical Electives but only with the permission of the Department.  See the program advisor.
  • The only options for Design Electives are the classes listed below.

Technical Electives

ME 498    Structure and Properties of Polycrystalline Materials

EE 471    Introduction to Micro and Nanotechnology

Students may take technical electives not on this list but they must satisfy the course pre-requites, and receive permission from the Department of Mechanical Engineering.
