Tuition and Living Expenses

Tuition

For graduate students, there are three four-month terms per academic year:

  • Term 1 (September - December 31)
  • Term 2 (January – April)
  • Spring/Summer (May – August).

All M.Sc., Ph.D. and M.Eng. students must register and pay tuition during each four month term. Current tuition rates and student fees can be found on the Graduate Tuition portion of the University website.

Living Expenses

For an estimate of living expenses for graduate students, please see the Money Matters section of the University website. Please note that information on tuition and books on this site is for undergraduate students, rather than graduate students.

Health Insurance

The Saskatchewan provincial government freely provides basic health insurance for international graduate students and their spouses and children.  For further information, please see the following website.

Other Information

The University of Saskatchewan’s International Student and Study Abroad Centre also provides information and assistance to students on financial matters. Students are encouraged to consult this website for important information on arrangements that need to be made prior to arrival in Saskatoon.
