U of S Student Diana Podborochynski Wins TAC Graduate Student Scholarship.
UofS student Diana Podborochynski wins Transportation Association of Canada graduate student scholarship for her work on recycled road materials. The goal of Diana's research is to evaluate the technological uses for reclaimed and recycled asphalt pavement materials as a structural system for urban recycled asphalt pavement structures. Diana's research will evaluate the laboratory mechanistic constitutive relations of three types of asphalt recycled materials (recycled blended pile asphalt concrete, recycled asphalt concrete millings, and recycled clean asphalt concrete pavement slabs) including varying amounts of cementitious, emulsion, and rejuvenator stabilization systems. The second objective of this research is to determine the engineering and economic feasibility of using recycled pavement materials within typical urban street infrastructure rehabilitation and/or new construction application in the City of Saskatoon.
