Student Laptop

Welcome to Student Laptop Program

The Engineering Computer Centre and Peter N. Nikiforuk - Innovative Teaching and Learning Centre are pleased to present the Student Laptop Pilot Program for the 2010 - 2011 academic year.

This pilot project is evaluating two new technologies to allow our engineering students to access the software that they need to complete their course work.  Previously, the only way to access the software was to log into the student lab facilities to access our software.  The student computing facilities have provided this service for many years and will still be an option for the duration of this pilot.

The Engineering Computer Centre and Peter N. Nikiforuk - innovative Teaching and Learning Centre are interested in your feedback of the two new technologies and whether these technologies are a step forward in providing our students an enhanced learning experience.  As this is a pilot project, not all of the software titles will be available for use in the pilot.  I encourage you to keep checking throughout the year to see if the software you need is on the list and to please try it out.  Also, please note that some of the software titles in the pilot may offer a newer version in the pilot technologies than what is available in the student computing facilities.  You will be able to see the current software list and versions in the pilot software list
